About Andrea Krueger
Hi!
You can call me "Andi"
I
founded this accounting practice, originally, in 1985 when it
occupied one small, sublet, office on Frazee Road overlooking
the yet to be developed Mission Valley region of San
Diego. We've had many adventures since then and I'd
like to tell you about some of them and how they've
contributed to the practice as it is
today.
Let's
just say, "We've been around the block." From
New York to California to Michigan, back to New York, and back
to San Diego. With a Bachelor's in
Business Administration and a Major in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University,
the first stop was Public Accounting. Four years in Rochester,
NY and another five years in San Diego including the original
start-up of this consulting practice.
Next was a move
to Los Angeles and into Software
Development. Developing software that produces
individual federal and state tax returns by authoring calculations, computer interface, and
user manuals. At that same
time I also earned a Master's of
Science Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
I was then recruited to move to Ann Arbor, Michigan where I
spent four years developing a similar software product from
scratch.
Then back to public accounting with a "Big Four"
firm gaining a broad range of knowledge and new talents from
my exposure to numerous high wealth clients.
I received my CPA license in January, 2000 and set
back out on my own where I now have the opportunity to utilize
my diversified knowledge and skills to provide Controller-by-the-Hour, Business Management, and Tax
Consulting services to a wide variety of clients. Out of
curiosity and/or necessity I have also taught myself
how to design and publish web sites, E-rooms, MS Access
databases, and many more computer, software, and technical
skills.
The
contract services I provide, and have provided, as a part of
my practice to large corporations helps to keep me up to speed
on the latest big business best practices, trends, and
technology. It also allows me access to a large network
of knowledgeable industry leaders and resources.
Through
the years, I have also been heavily involved with many
non-profits in various capacities and picked up additional
skills in the areas of Marketing, Event Management, and Promotions.
That's
what happens when you live each day in the relentless pursuit
of challenge. I've been
fairly successful at finding new and interesting challenges
and would appreciate an opportunity to share the teachings of
my experiences with you. You too can benefit from the lessons learned at
my "School of Hard Knocks," and without all the knocks.
